McGuinness Funeral Home

McGuinness Funeral Homes is a funeral home brand serving the Delaware Valley region of South Jersey, operating two funeral home locations in Gloucester County, New Jersey. The brand was established in 1950 when James A. McGuinness Sr. and his wife Marie L. McGuinness opened the first location in Woodbury, New Jersey. James A. McGuinness Sr. was a lifelong Woodbury resident and a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps who completed his mortuary studies following his World War II service, and he served as the firm's primary licensed funeral director for more than half a century. James A. McGuinness Jr. obtained his practitioner license and assumed active management of the business following his father's death in 2010. The brand's second location opened in 2002. Each McGuinness Funeral Homes location operates within its own community, serving families in the area surrounding that location. Services, facilities, and available options vary by location. Families work directly with staff at their chosen location for arrangements, services, and follow-through. Across both locations, McGuinness Funeral Homes offers burial services, cremation services, funeral and memorial services, pre-need planning, and veterans services including military honors. Each facility includes a chapel and accommodates both identification and private viewings. Reviews across both locations reflect a consistent pattern of families identifying individual staff members by name. Specific service offerings, facility details, and geographic areas served are described on each location's individual page.
