Nitardy Funeral Homes

Nitardy Funeral Homes is a funeral home brand operating three locations across south central Wisconsin. The organization was founded in 1932 by Hilmar A. Nitardy, who opened the first Nitardy funeral business in Johnson Creek. Over the following decades, the organization expanded into Fort Atkinson, Cambridge, and Whitewater, establishing permanent facilities in each community. Ownership passed through three generations of the Nitardy family. The brand's three current facilities include two funeral homes and one funeral home with an on-site crematory. Each Nitardy location operates within its own community, serving families in the surrounding city and county. Facility features, available options, and physical arrangements vary by location. Families work directly with staff at the location serving their community, and specific service details, facility information, and arrangement options are specific to each location. All three Nitardy locations offer burial services, cremation services, funeral and memorial services, pre-need planning, reception and catered events, and veterans services including military honors. Cremation services at the Fort Atkinson and Cambridge locations are arranged and coordinated through the Whitewater location, which houses the organization's on-site crematory. Across locations, reviewers consistently recognize individual staff members by name — a pattern observed at multiple locations that reflects the organization's locally rooted, community-level approach to service. Each location's page provides facility details, service options, and contact information specific to that community.
