Sunnyside Funeral & Cremation

Sunnyside Funeral & Cremation is a funeral home in Happy Valley, Oregon. Sunnyside Funeral & Cremation is co-located with Sunnyside Memorial Gardens, a six-acre cemetery operating on the same grounds. Services include burial services, cremation services, funeral and memorial services, certified celebrant services, pre-need planning, reception and catered events, veterans services including military honors, and ash scattering assistance. Human composting and aquamation are available through partner providers.

The funeral home and event center joined the Little Chapel of the Chimes network in 1990, at which point the chapel facility was expanded and the site transitioned into a full-service funeral and reception operation. The event center is built with open vaulted ceilings and a deck overlooking an adjacent creek, and includes audiovisual-enabled facilities and a kitchen for catered receptions. A carillon tower is a distinctive architectural feature of the property. The location has operated under the name Sunnyside Funeral & Cremation since 2021.

The facility includes a chapel, reception and event space, and accommodates identification viewings and private viewings. The adjoining cemetery is accessible on the same grounds.

Sunnyside Funeral & Cremation does not operate an on-site crematory. Pet cremation is not available.

Families frequently recognize individual staff members by name in reviews and consistently describe the arrangement process as straightforward, noting the team's coordination of service details including video, streaming, and catering arrangements.

Cremation is performed at a company-owned cremation care facility in the Portland metro area dedicated specifically to cremation services. The care center is owned by the same organization as Sunnyside Funeral & Cremation and staffed by company employees.  In the event that cremation equipment is unavailable, cremation will occur at another location.
