Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home

Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home is a funeral home in Portland, Oregon. It is co-located with Wilhelm's Portland Mausoleum, a mausoleum and interment facility operating on the same grounds. The funeral home serves the Portland metropolitan area with burial services, cremation services, funeral and memorial services, pre-need planning, reception and catered events, certified celebrants, human composting and aquamation (offered through partner providers), veterans services including military honors, and ash scattering assistance.

Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home traces its roots to 1901, when the Wilhelm family founded a funeral home in the Sellwood neighborhood at 6600 SE Milwaukie Avenue. The business operated independently for nearly a century under Wilhelm family ownership through 1998 and subsequent ownership through 2008. In March 2008, the funeral home relocated from Sellwood to the Portland Memorial facility, a historic mausoleum location at 6705 SE 14th Avenue, where it merged operations with Portland Memorial under unified management.

The funeral home features multiple chapels, reception and event space, and rooms for identification and private viewings.

Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home does not operate an on-site crematory, offer pet cremation, licensed grief therapy, or legal and estate planning services. Families seeking information about the adjacent mausoleum and interment facilities should contact Wilhelm's Portland Mausoleum.

Families frequently recognize individual staff members by name in reviews, consistently describing a thorough, accommodating approach that extends through every stage of the arrangement process.

Cremation is performed at a company-owned cremation care facility in the Portland metro area dedicated specifically to cremation services. The care center is owned by the same organization as Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home and staffed by company employees.  In the event that cremation equipment is unavailable, cremation will occur at another location.
