Thompson Funeral Homes is a funeral home brand serving the Columbia, South Carolina metropolitan area, operating two funeral home locations and one cemetery across Columbia and Lexington. The brand was founded in 1928 by John R. "Buddy" Thompson in what was then New Brookland, now West Columbia. In 1935, Thompson completed construction of a dedicated facility at 200 State Street in West Columbia, among the first buildings in South Carolina designed specifically as a funeral home. Second-generation leadership under John David Thompson began in 1972. The brand expanded to Lexington in 1999 and merged with Greenlawn Memorial Park in 2013 to establish its current Columbia location on Leesburg Road. The original West Columbia location closed in December 2020, consolidating operations to the two current addresses.

Across all Thompson Funeral Homes locations, available services include burial services, cremation services, funeral and memorial services, pre-need planning, and veterans services including military honors. Spanish-language services are available at the Lexington location. Greenlawn Memorial Park, affiliated with the brand since 2013, is one of Columbia's first perpetual care cemeteries, established in 1937.
