T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Homes is a funeral home brand serving The Hudson Valley region of New York. Founded in 1879 by Thomas J. McGowan in the Village of Haverstraw, the brand has operated in Rockland County for more than 145 years. The McGowan family maintained direct ownership and management across multiple generations: Thomas J. McGowan Jr. assumed leadership of the firm in 1923, and Francis Patrick McGowan, grandson of the founder, later operated as a licensed funeral director and owner of multiple T.J. McGowan Sons locations across the county. The brand currently operates two funeral home locations in Rockland County.

Each location serves families in its own community, with its own staff, facility, and service environment. Families work directly with the staff at their chosen location. Specific facility features, service options, and scheduling are handled at the individual location level.

Burial services, cremation services, funeral and memorial services, pre-need planning, and ash scattering assistance are available at both locations. Each facility includes a chapel, identification viewings, and private viewings. Neither location offers an on-site crematory or on-site cemetery.
