Mission Memorial Park

Mission Memorial Park is a cemetery in Seaside, California, located in the Ord Grove neighborhood. It is co-located with Mission Mortuary - Seaside, a funeral home operating on the same grounds. The cemetery serves families throughout the Monterey Bay Area with burial services, funeral and memorial services, pre-need cemetery property, and veterans services including military honors.

Originally opened in 1934 under the name Mission Memorial Cemetery, the property operated under the direct management of the City of Monterey for several decades before transitioning to private operation. The cemetery's history of civic administration reflects its long-standing role as a community burial ground for the greater Monterey Peninsula.

The grounds include a mausoleum, private and family lots, cremation niches and gardens, build-to-suit cemetery property, and dedicated sections for veterans, Catholic, Jewish, and Muslim burials.

Mission Memorial Park does not include an on-site crematory. Pet cremation and pet burial are not offered.

Cremation services are performed at company-owned facilities in the Santa Cruz metro area. Mission Memorial Park is part of a network of locations that includes its own cremation infrastructure — so families choosing cremation here work directly with our staff throughout, rather than being transferred to an independent third-party provider.  In the event that cremation equipment is unavailable, cremation will occur at another location.
