The building that houses the chapel has a documented connection to Camp Stoneman, a military installation in nearby Pittsburg, California, that served as a primary West Coast departure point for more than 2.5 million soldiers during World War II and the Korean War. Following Camp Stoneman's decommissioning in 1954, the structure — originally built as a military medical staging and processing facility — was relocated to its current Walnut Creek site, where it was converted for use as a mortuary. The location holds a Veterans Funeral Specialist certification and has maintained a long-standing relationship with military families in the region.

The facility includes multiple chapels, reception and event space, and accommodates both identification viewings and private viewings. Japanese-speaking funeral advisors are available to assist families whose primary language is Japanese.
