David Clark, representing the third generation of family ownership, entered the business in 1973. His son Guy and daughter Linzi both joined the operation in the early 2000s and became licensed funeral directors; in 2007, the Duell name was retired and the business became Clark Funeral Home.

In 1907, the property underwent a major architectural transformation under the ownership of the Bohannon family — affluent figures in Woodford County's agricultural, banking, and thoroughbred industries — who added a shingled second story, a sweeping hipped roofline, and a monumental two-story Ionic portico, converting the early Kentucky cottage into a Colonial Revival manor. The funeral home maintains historical archives documenting the community's past, including original ledgers recording local mortality during the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic.
