We have served the Woodbury community since 1951, when our founder, James A. McGuinness, opened our first funeral home. He knew the importance of families having a trustworthy, local funeral home to help them memorialize their lost loved ones and navigate grief. Our beautiful funeral home in Woodbury was originally built in the late 1700s, and has since been rebuilt to honor its original charm and comfortable, warm feel. Once you walk through our doors, you become family.

  • Price is for burial with no visitation or formal services and ceremonies. Does not include casket, outer burial container, or cemetery costs.
  • Includes all of the essential services of the funeral director and staff.
  • Removal of your loved one as well as local transportation to the cemetery for burial (within 5 miles).
  • Care of your loved one until burial is complete. Family not present with timing at the discretion of the funeral home.
  • Consultation with responsible party for final arrangements.
  • All the necessary permits and authorizations.
  • Free self-service online obituary.
  • Many other optional services available - including celebration of life event planning, traditional funeral service, on-site catering, police escort to the gravesite, and more - at additional charge.

Having to make arrangements for your loved one after their passing feels utterly overwhelming. Darryl at McGuinness was incredibly kind and helpful.
