Our Information

Eugene’s Premier Cemetery Since 1889

Mt. Calvary Cemetery is a cemetery in Eugene, Oregon, located in the Friendly Area neighborhood in the south hills of Eugene. This location is distinct from Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Portland, Oregon and Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Klamath Falls, Oregon; all three are affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church but operate as separate entities. The Eugene cemetery is owned by the Archdiocese of Portland and managed by Musgrove Family Mortuary. Services include burial services, funeral and memorial services, and veterans services including military honors.

Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eugene was established in 1889 when Peter and Cecilia Erz donated three acres of land to St. Mary Catholic Church. The cemetery operated as a parish graveyard for St. Mary Roman Catholic Church through the 20th century, with Musgrove Family Mortuary assuming management on behalf of the Archdiocese in 2001. The cemetery is situated in a forested setting of mature native fir and cedar trees, with views of the Coburg Hills to the north and Spencer Butte to the south. A dedicated section of the cemetery is open to individuals of all faiths.

The facility includes a chapel and cremation niches.

Mt. Calvary Cemetery does not operate an on-site crematory. Pet burial is not offered at this location.
