Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home traces its roots to 1901, when the Wilhelm family founded a funeral home in the Sellwood neighborhood at 6600 SE Milwaukie Avenue. The business operated independently for nearly a century under Wilhelm family ownership through 1998 and subsequent ownership through 2008. In March 2008, the funeral home relocated from Sellwood to the Portland Memorial facility, a historic mausoleum location at 6705 SE 14th Avenue, where it merged operations with Portland Memorial under unified management.
The funeral home features multiple chapels, reception and event space, and rooms for identification and private viewings.
