120 Years of Compassionate Care
At Wilhelm's Portland Memorial, we have a rich history dating back to 1901 when we became the first crematory west of the Mississippi River, known then as The Portland Cremation Association. Our historic chapel, marked by its cornerstone placed on February 5th, 1901, has stood the test of time. Today, our memorial site spans 8 stories, approximately 7 miles of corridors of beautifully preserved architecture, and the largest mausoleum on the West Coast, spanning 2.5 city blocks. The vision of our local citizens who founded Portland Memorial over a century ago lives on through the grand walkways of granite and marble as a final resting place for thousands of members of the Portland community. As a historic Portland funeral home, we are committed to providing comfort, guidance, and a place of peace during life's most challenging moments.

- Price is for direct cremation with basic cremation container and without visitation, formal services, or ceremony.
- Includes all of the essential services of the funeral director and staff.
- Removal and transportation of your loved one to the funeral home (within a 30 mile radius).
- Care of your loved one until cremation is complete.
- Cremation process and return of ashes, in most cases within 3 business days of receipt of your loved one and necessary authorizations.
- Consultation with responsible party for final arrangements.
- Assistance with forms for social security and veterans benefits.
- All the necessary permits and authorizations.
- Free self-service online obituary.
- Many other optional services available - including celebration of life event planning, traditional funeral service, on-site catering, scattering assistance, and more - at additional charge.
- Prices do not include urn or other merchandise, cash advances, filing fees, or death certificates. Please see complete price list for additional details and exclusions.

- Care of your loved one until burial is complete.
- Consultation with responsible party for final arrangements.
- Assistance with forms for social security and veterans benefits.
- All the necessary permits and authorizations.
- Free self-service online obituary.
