Adolph Johnson age 67 of Saint Paul passed away on October 13, 2016. Adolph Johnson was born on July 16, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to the proud parents of Adolph Johnson Sr. and Shirley Johnson. He was the only child born to this union. His brother Otis Johnson Jr. preceded him in death. Adolph grew up on the south side of Chicago where he had many fond memories and he loved to talk about the good ole days on 39th Street. Adolph was a great dancer and he could always make you laugh and smile. Adolph was always very loyal to his family and friends. Adolph worked various jobs, but he was extremely proud of his employment as a security officer for the Chicago Housing Authority. Adolph married Althia Wiggins and to that union Ernestine Johnson was born. He later married Darlene Banks who was his faithful companion until he made his transition. Adolph leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Darlene Banks; one daughter Ernestine Johnson; one granddaughter Brooklyn Johnson; one step-daughter Crystal Banks; cousins Denise Owens, Samuel Lowe (Jennifer), Kenneth Ware, Kim Ware (Keith), Maisha Kenyatta; closest friend Naomi Thompson; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. We Entrusted Adolph Johnson's Care To
Spielman Mortuary
Spielman Mortuary has been helping Saint Paul families since 1950 when Kenneth and Helen Spielman purchased the National Funeral Home. For over 30 years, the couple lived above the funeral home and took just one vacation. They sold the home in 1984 to the Willwerscheid family. We still operate Spielman Mortuary with the same traditions of pride, sensitivity, value, and attention to detail that the Spielmans followed for over three decades....
