Allan C. Hayes

Allan C. Hayes, 84, Winter Haven, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on August 14, 2015 after battling cancer. He was born on December 26, 1930 in St. Clair, Michigan, to Allan and Katie Hayes. Al attended schools in Port Huron, Michigan and served in the U.S. Navy on the aircraft carrier The USS Coral Sea. He was a successful businessman, establishing and running DACA, Inc., a brass foundry in Marysville, Michigan, for many years. Al married Ettie B. Hill on December 6, 1952, and together they raised six children. Al was an avid golfer and loved to ballroom dance. He was a member of Parkland Baptist Church and was actively involved in local and foreign mission projects. Al was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Wesley and Ervin, sisters Laura Roskey, Lillian Ellis, and Phyllis Rands, wife Ettie, and grandson Jason Heath. He is survived by his children Alan Heath, Davison, Michigan, Michael Heath, Maureen Heath, Daniel and Bethanne Carr, Susanne Hayes, and Kathleen Hayes, all of Winter Haven, FL, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and by his dear friend, Jean Williams of Winter Haven. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 28, at 11 am at Parkland Baptist Church, 1800 8th St. SE, Winter Haven, FL 33880. Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Port Huron, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parkland Baptist Church or The Mission for the homeless, 180 E Central Ave, Winter Haven, FL 33880.
