Anthony Sarno, 54 of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on Thursday June 27, 2019. Anthony was born on November 13,1964 to Carmen and Eleanor Sarno (nee Sterling) and grew up in Medford, NJ. He attended Holy Cross High School and then graduated from Shawnnee High School in 1983. Anthony married Delores Sarno (nee Woern) on July 23, 1988. He began his 34-year experience working in the union before starting two successful businesses –Anthony Sarno Masonry and A&G Building Systems, named after his children. He fulfilled his wish of entering the medical field after graduating from Rutgers University in 2015. He worked as a respiratory therapist at Virtua Hospital, while also dedicating his time to work at Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is survived by his parents; his beloved wife Delores; son, Anthony Sarno; daughter, Gabrielle Purwin (Timothy); granddaughter Ava Sarno; brother Carmen Sarno; and sister Maria Marina (Carlos). He will be missed by many cousins, nieces, family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday, July 1st from 6:00PM to 9:00PM and Tuesday, July 2ndfrom 9:00AM to 10:30AM in McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, NJ. Funeral Mass Tuesday, July 2ndat 11:30AM in St. Patrick's RC Church 64 Cooper Street, Woodbury, NJ.
