Barbara Ann Kirby

Barbara A. Kirby, 55, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away May 5, 2017 at her home. She was born on July 3, 1961 in Florence, South Carolina to Larry and Jeanne (Harrison) Kirby . Miss Kirby was a lover of birds, nature, and other animals. She spent the last ten years caring for her mother and loving her great nephews and her granddaughters.. Barbara is survived by her mother, Jeanne H. Kirby of Columbia, SC, Larry D Kirby III (Deborah) of St. Matthews, SC, one sister, Diane K. Steen of Hopkins, SC, one niece, Jessica Holt of Columbia, SC, two great nephews, Xavier and Jaxon, and two granddaughters, Brandi and Brittani Mahaffey. She was preceded in death by her father Larry D. Kirby, Jr. A memorial service will be at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 6 pm. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
