Barb passed away quietly in Seattle on Sunday, February 26th from complications of heart surgery. Barb and twin brother George Jr. were born on October 31, 1942 in Detroit, MI to George and Patricia Zientowski. Barbs Dad was a career Air Force officer and a fighter pilot during WWII and Korea. As a result Barb lived all over the states with her Dads assignments in Michigan, Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, and Florida. She finished high school at St. Charles Academy in Lake Charles, LA and attended college at McNeese State University. She was the beloved wife of Robert (Bob) Lewandowski, mother of Karyn and James (Jamie). She met Bob through mutual friends in Detroit. Barb and Bob moved to Seattle in 1965 after Bob finished college and pted a position with The Boeing Co. They lived in Seattle, Edmonds, and Shoreline. They were members of St. Luke Parish in Shoreline. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother. Barb was everyones Mom and will be very sadly missed. Her memorial service will be held at the Holyrood Cemetery Chapel on Monday, March 5, at 1:00 PM. Remembrances to the American Heart Association, or your favorite charity.
