Benny passed away after a brief illness. His passion was listening to Oldies but Goodies and watching WWF wrestling on television. He especially loved spending time with his family and attending family gatherings. He was one who loved to laugh and joke around. He is loved by many, and will missed by all. He is survived by daughters Elizabeth and Melvina Gonzales both of Coalinga son Benny Gonzales of Coalinga four grandchildren sisters Rebecca Amaro Tina Gonzales Josie Robles all of Salinas along with numerous nieces and nephews preceded in death by parents Jose Gonzales in 1983 Refugia L. Gonzales in 2005 brother Johnny Gonzales in 2003 FUNERAL SERVICES were held Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Healey Mortuary Chapel. CREMATION to take place, inurnment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
