She married Timothy Dannels on May 2, 1958 in Denver, Colorado. She is survived by her husband, Tim; and their two daughters, Karen Norris, and Betty (Sheldon) Jones, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado along with a brother, Walter “Bud” Beery of Montrose, Colorado; and a sister, Joy (Delbert) Neuschwanger of Lakewood, Colorado. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Rodney (Stephanie) Frese, Brandon Frese, Jeremy (Nivania) Hamilton, Christopher (Amanda) Jones, and Sarah (Daniel MacDougall) Jones. She leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Luvena (Reynolds) Beery; her oldest sister, Donna (Smith); her sister-in-law, Dona Beery; her son-in-law, John Norris; and her oldest daughter, Janet Lopez. She worked as a bindery worker at printing shops for many years and loved to read. She retired from the workforce in 1999, when she and her husband moved to Buena Vista, Colorado, to spend time in the mountains that she loved so much. She enjoyed traveling and meeting new friends as part of her husband’s model airplane/engine collecting hobby, and she helped publish the Engine Collectors Journal for over sixty years. In December of 2020, the couple moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to be closer to their two daughters and medical care. The family would like to thank Pikes Peak Hospice for all the help and care they have given, and their efforts to allow her to spend her final months at home.
