Betty Reyes

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Betty Avila Reyes, 50, of Kuna, passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 11, 2014, in Boise, Idaho. Betty was born June 18, 1964, in Tulare, California and was from Bakersfield, California. Her family moved frequently, eventually settling in Weiser, Idaho, where she graduated from Weiser High School in 1982. She worked for the state of Idaho in the Department of Health and Welfare until she took early retirement due to her health. During her retirement she was blessed to be constantly involved caring for her grandsons, a pursuit which filled her with joy. She is survived by her husband, Miguel Reyes; her daughter Talia Bolanos and son-in law Armando Bolanos; her son David Reyes and daughter-in-law Hailey Reyes; two grandsons, Amado and Luis Bolanos; sister, Linda Avila; and three brothers, Ramiro Avila, Thomas Avila, and Robert Renteria. She is preceded in death by her mother, Herlinda Avila; her father Ramiro Avila; her sister Sylvia Avila; and her uncle Jose Reyes. Betty was a prism of life, refracting all its goodness into vibrant colors that danced in the lives of all who knew her. Family and friends meant everything to her, just as she meant everything to them. She had a wild, adventurous, infectious spirit which carried her on many travels and made her the life of every party. She will be deeply missed, but will never leave our hearts. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Accent Funeral Home, 1303 N. Main St., Meridian. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Meridian Friends Church, 1021 W. Pine Ave, Meridian with burial to follow at the Kuna Cemetery.
