Betty Switzer of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away March 6, 2013. Betty was born September 5, 1931 in Neelyville, MO and was raised in and around Corning, AR. She moved with her family to St. Petersburg, FL in 1963. She was a retired nursing home administrator and bookkeeper. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Ella Mae and Earnest Carnahan; sister Nan Cocke, her husband Donald; and son Mark. Betty is survived by her two daughters, Mary Jane and Virginia (Ginger); brothers, Earl and James; sisters, Peggy, Virginia and Carmen; and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Woodside Hospice for their special care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.
