OBITUARY – Bonnie Louise Murphy – Ridgeway – Services for Bonnie Louise Murphy, 71, of Lexington, will be private. Woodridge Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Bonnie Murphy passed away January 28, 2021. Born in Andrews, SC, she was a daughter of the late Jim O’Neal Wright and Nora Yvonne Casselman Wright. Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who loved her family, being outdoors and talking to people, whether or not she knew them or had just met them. She loved to shop, and always looked beautiful, no matter the situation. Bonnie was a very strong woman who overcame several health difficulties, but never let those difficulties hold her back. She was her family’s “peace-maker”, and enjoyed seeing her family and friends. Bonnie is survived by her two daughters, Amy Murphy (Todd Briggs) and Denise Murphy Sanders; son, George Murphy; grandchildren, Michael Morgan Murphy, Joshua Edward Sanders and Jessica Denise Sanders Eisenheimer; a great-granddaughter; sister, Mildred Owens; and nieces and nephews. Bonnie is also survived by a loving family friend who was like a son to Bonnie, Kent Beardslee. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by her husband, George Arthur Murphy, Jr., and a brother, Jimmy O’Neal Wight. The family would like to thank the staff at Ridgeway Manor Nursing Center, and her doctors for the loving care she received over the years.
