CARL L. FOSTER, 80, of Englewood passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Venice Regional Medical Center. Born on December 22, 1934 in Oswego, New York he had been a resident of Charlotte County for thirty-three years coming from Walton, NY. Carl served in the US Army. He was a physical education teacher and coach at Walton Central School for twenty two years prior to his retirement and relocation. He was an avid bowler and played men's softball locally. He is pre-deceased by his wife of fifty-three years, Carol in 2013. Survivors include his five daughters: Christine MacDonald, Caryn Foster, Cathryn (Joe) Weaver, Carla Foster, Caralisa (Jason) Zarifis; brother: Lawrence Foster; sister: Janet Hackett; nine grand children and three great grand children. Honors will be rendered on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10:30 Am at Sarasota National Cemetery. A celebration of Carl's life for family and friends will be on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1 Pm at the home of Cathy. For details and directions call 941/662-6533 or 941/504-8307.
