Peoria, AZ - Carl E. Teets, 89, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City West, AZ. He was soon to be 90 years of age and was looking forward to celebrating that milestone birthday. Born December 20, 1930, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of the late Carl N. and Willa-Anna (Hilton) Teets. Carl joined the U.S. Navy as a young man, serving from 1948-1950. Afterwards, he married his neighborhood sweetheart, Marian F. Brooks on May 16, 1953. They were happy together for 66 years. Carl worked at W.T. Pettit & Sons, a steel fabricating plant in Girard, OH, for 43 years before retiring in 1995. He was also the proud sole proprietor of Carl's Mower Service, servicing Youngstown, OH's West Side and surrounding communities. Carl attended the Old North Church in Canfield, OH, and he was grateful the church kept in touch with him after he relocated to Arizona. Besides his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Marian F. Teets; his sister, Beverly Orosz; and his beloved cocker spaniel, Spunky. Carl is survived by his children, Diane (Tom) Daley and Robert (Jill) Teets; five grandchildren, Shaun (Megan) Daley, Renee Daley, Erika (Daniel) Johnson, Kevin Teets, and Carson Teets; one great-grandchild, Layne Daley; brother-in-law, Joseph (Patty) Brooks; and many nieces and nephews whom he adored. A memorial service will be planned for a future date, when it is safe for family and friends to gather again.
