Catherine Elizabeth Johnson Hunt, 86, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, August 10, 2018. Graveside Funeral Services celebrating her life will be 11:00AM Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro. Catherine was born April 26, 1932 to the late Nannie Blake and Parks Albert Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband James Hunt, Sr.; son James Hunt, Jr.; daughters, Paula DeGraff, Kitty Woolard, and Nancy Clontz Summers and a sister, Ruth Hodgin. Catherine retired after a long career with Southern Bell (AT&T). She enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything else. She loved shopping and going to casinos, especially in Cherokee and Las Vegas. Catherine had a special relationship with her pet dogs, Butchie and Chloe. She was always happy to help others. She is survived by her sons, Andrew Hunt and wife Sandy and Ricky Hunt and wife Hing; grandchildren, Wiliam Clontz, Shane Clontz, Lloyd Fitzgerald, Christine Barfield, Kathy Lewis, Andrea Hunt, Emily Hunt, Dakota Hunt, Ythoan Buonya, and Andrew Buonya; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Doris Hodges and numerous extended family members. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral & Cremation Services. Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to the Guilford County Animal Shelter.
