Christopher W. Feeney

Christopher W Feeney, of Westville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 27, 2022. He was 71. Legacy & Family We mourn the passing of Christopher Feeney. Loving son of the late William and Emilia Feeney. The oldest of 6 children, William, Jr., Kathleen Skacel (Tom), Michael Feeney (Deb), Bob Feeney, (Marcia) and Marguerite Ingersoll (Jim). He was also the proud uncle to 6 nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and one great-nephew, all of whom he adored. Born and raised in the Logan section of Philadelphia and a graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School. Chris spent his adult years as a resident of Westville. He retired from Acme Markets in Woodbury where he made many close friends during his career. Chris was a man who was never afraid to be true to himself no matter what life threw his way. A man of great passion. Whether discussing his favorite television/movies, his political stance (an active supporter of the Libertarian Party) the Bible, or the best whiskeys; No topic was off limits as he approached every conversation with focus and enthusiasm. He was a true dedicated friend. Those who befriended him instantly became family to him and there was no looking back. Chris surrounded himself with people he loved and loved to challenge. He was a highly-intelligent seeker of information, who loved to learn. Chris was a God loving man whose devotion to his Christian (Catholic) faith never faltered. He lived a strong, happy and independent 71 years surrounded by the things and people he loved most. He did this all on his terms and we could never expect anything less. Farewell Tribute Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 9 am to 10:30 am at the McGuinness Funeral, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following visitation at Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick's Church, 64 Cooper Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 240 Lower Landing Road, Chews landing NJ 08012. The Family kindly requests all guest wear masks at the funeral home and the church.
