Chris Happel, born March 16, 1969 in Jamaica, New York died peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He lived his life to the fullest each and every day. He loved his family and friends very deeply. He had the best laugh and made others laugh just to hear it. He was a very gifted custom cabinet maker, but his gifts were so much more than that. His golden heart was what stood out the most! He died a courageous hero, fighting the deadly disease of cancer for 20 long months. He leaves behind his loving wife, Lisa of 23 terrific years and his precious children, Christopher, Michael and Victoria. His beautiful parents, Nicoletta and Arthur. His wonderful brother, Mark (Dawn). Man's best friend, Abby. He also leaves behind his brother and sister in laws, Kim and Kim Fontaine, David and Allison Larsen, Debbie White, Ed and Tina Larsen, Chris and Barbra Larsen and Dan Larsen. He also leaves behind 21 nieces and nephews, which he loved immensely. Preceded in death by special Gram, Filomena Martello. Father in law, Leonard Larsen and brother in law, Neil Larsen. Rest in peace now my angel until we see each other again. We will miss you tremendously. We know you are dancing with the other angels in heaven. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematory, 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 at 4:30 PM.
