Clifton Bellingham

Clifton Bellingham was born September 4, 1992, and went to be with the Lord on September 18, 2016, following a long battle with drug addiction. He was a lifelong Colorado Springs resident. Clifton was the firstborn son of Keith and Margi Bellingham. Sensitive to the Holy Spirit and a believer in Jesus Christ, he was a capable, bright and deep thinker. He had natural athletic abilities and a craving for adventure. Clifton also loved his friends deeply. Animals were drawn to him and he was drawn to them from the earliest ages: frogs, snakes, fish, spiders, rats, stray dogs (Thank you for our Zoey), cats and horses among them. It was important to Clifton that he complete his education, so he returned to earn his GED. He was looking forward to pursuing a career in welding. Clifton was quiet and reserved in groups while all the time taking in every detail and thinking about his own responses to life. Often, days or even weeks later, Clifton would bring things up that people had said, things they never thought he had heard. People who loved him appreciated hearing his perspectives and opinions when he chose to share them. When everyone thought Clifton was at peace and had won his battle with addiction, tragically, it returned and ultimately claimed his life in an accidental overdose. He is survived by his father and mother, Keith and Margi Bellingham; a brother, Aaron Bellingham; and three sisters, Lexi Smith, Hope Havens (Ian Havens), and Olivia Bellingham.
