David Alan Coggeshall

Mr. David Alan Coggeshall, Sr. age 61 passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale with his family by his side. Mr. Coggeshall was born December 4, 1954 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Chester William and JoAnn (Kennedy) Coggeshall. He was raised in Aurora, Indiana until coming to Polk County in 1973 on a baseball scholarship. He graduated from USF and taught math to generations of students for a total of 30 years in the public school system, (Auburndale High School & Westwood Middle). David enjoyed coaching youth sports throughout his career including girls' basketball and boys little league baseball that gave him some of the most vivid and memorable stories he continued to recount throughout his days. David was fortunate enough to have spent his final years hunting and working alongside his wife on their farm in Polk City. He was preceded in death by his parents. David is survived by his loving & devoted family: wife of 38 years: Donna Coggeshall of Polk City, son: David A. (Natalie) Coggeshall, Jr. of Orlando, sister: Pam (Howard) Berryman of Naples, brother-in-law & sister-in-law: Frank & Marilee DeBord of Auburndale, 4 grandchildren: Adrian, Ander, Gabriel & Chani, 2 nephews: Cazzie & Dale, Uncle Mike (Linda), Aunt Ione, 1 gt. nephew: Frank (Marah), 1 gt. gt. niece: Emily.
