David "Dave" Lee Daugherty

David Lee Daugherty, 63, of Blountville, TN passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023. He was born in Wise County, VA to the late Sidney Paul Daugherty and Patsy Hawkins Daugherty. David had many hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and being in the outdoors. He loved spending quality time with his family, playing ball in the yard, eating, playing pool, talking to his grandchildren, or just being at home with his wife. He was a big fan of wrestling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by his daughter, Amanda Noel Daugherty and sister, Sherry Baumgardner. Those remaining to carry on his memory and legacy include his wife of 28 years, Sandra Osborne Daugherty; children: Courtney Derrick (Justin) and Jay Austin-Daugherty; grandchildren: Jayson, Carson, Jaxson, and Aryana; 2 special great-nieces: Ava and Olivia; sister, Rhonda Starnes; and brother, Sid Daugherty (Tammy). Several other nieces, nephews, cousins and dear family and friends also remain. The family will hold a celebration of life service and receive friends at a later date. Carter-Trent Funeral Home- Kingsport is serving the Daugherty family.
