David Daniel Humes

David Daniel Humes, born March 31, 1965, in Putnam, Connecticut, peacefully passed away on May 16, 2024, in his home in Melbourne, FL, surrounded by his loved ones. He was a cherished son of Melvin and Shirley Humes, predeceased by his beloved brothers Gary, Carl, and Gregory Humes, and survived by his brothers Glen (Rosemary) Humes, Alan (Tara) Humes, and sister Melanie Humes. David was the loving husband of Joanna Humes and the devoted father of Natasha (Stephen), Isabella, and Mia Humes. David will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his numerous nieces and nephews. He found solace and joy in nature, often seeking refuge in its serene embrace. David's passion for the outdoors was infectious, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. Born into a large family, David's life was enriched by the love and support of those around him. He met his beloved wife, Joanna, in Lompoc, CA, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories that lasted over 30 years. Professionally, David was the esteemed owner of Surplus Solutions, and Surplus Clearance Inc. where his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication shone brightly. His commitment to excellence and integrity garnered the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. A funeral service to celebrate David's life will be held on June 1, 2024, at 11 am at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne, FL. David will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, gratefulness, kindness, and passion for life will continue to inspire all who follow in his footsteps. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and cherished by all who knew him.
