Funeral Alternatives of Washington - Tumwater
David Alan Moore
February 25th, 1995 - February 6th, 2023
David Alan Moore passed away February 6, 2023, at his home in Bothell, Washington. Born February 25, 1995, in Olympia, Washington, he grew up in the Olympia area, attending Tumwater schools and South Puget Sound Community College. At school, David participated in soccer, baseball and track. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, swimming at Tumwater Valley, camping, hiking, and trips to Hawaii, England and Oregon’s Cannon Beach. David loved music and playing guitar and saxophone in the Tumwater High School band and SPSCC jazz band. He also enjoyed just jamming with friends. After working locally at restaurants, David moved to Lynnwood, Washington, where he worked for Premera Blue Cross in claims and customer care. There he met his best friend and soulmate, Marisa Klein. They lived life to the fullest, traveling and attending Mariners games, concerts and comedy shows, cooking and going to restaurants, playing PokemonGo, hanging out at home with their kitties, and giggling endlessly over memes sent to each other. David was happiest working with his hands, from trying a new recipe to tirelessly practicing a challenging, funky bass line. Sharing his creations with others was among the many ways he expressed love. David took pride in improving his many skills, and the time spent doing things he loved was meditative and grounding. He was blessed with a great sense of humor, a kind and gentle heart, and a positive and upbeat personality. David was loved by Marisa; mother, Patricia Moore of Olympia; father, David Moore (Kristine), of Lynnwood; sister, Karen Hollenbeck (Robb); niece, Evelyn, and nephew, Cy, of Missoula, Montana; and stepsister, Kameryn, and stepbrother, Derrance (Jordan). He was also loved by uncles and aunts, Brian Teller of Portland, Oregon; Angela Teller of Battle Ground, Washington; Glen Moore, and Ann (Ray) Smith, all of Barrow-in-Furness, England, and Carol Thompson (Lee) of Halifax, Nova Scotia; as well as great-aunt, Nancy Rawlinson of Portland; cousins, Christian Teller, Jim and Steve Rawlinson, Janet Heinrichs (Dale), and Andrew, Scott and Amy Thompson; and numerous second cousins, extended family and friends. A service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023, at South Sound Manor, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA 98501. Please leave condolences or share memories and photos on the Tribute Wall to the left.
