David Picou

David Picou died peacefully at his home in Land O' Lakes, Florida on September 13th, 2017. David was born on August 1st, 1949 in El Paso Texas to Lloyd J and Wendy (Jago) Picou. He moved to Tampa in 1972 marrying Lin Picou (Mortham) a year later. Soon after, he graduated from the University of South Florida with a masters degree in English. He established David Picou Custom Homes in 1977 as a general contractor, building peoples' dreams all around the greater Tampa area for 23 years, including his own "bit of paradise" in southern Pasco county. In 2000 he began pursuing his true passion of motorcycles full time, helping to build what is now Eurocycles of Tampa Bay from the ground up. He loved his work and quickly became an absolute cornerstone of the motorcycle community. He retired from Eurocycles in June of 2017 and spent his days teaching his grandsons, fishing on the Gulf, and riding bicycles. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lin, as well as his son, daughter, and two grandsons.
