A funeral service celebrating the life of Deloris M. Strickland, 58, of Gaston will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m. Friday evening at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Strickland departed this earthly life on Wednesday evening, June 19, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Columbia, SC to John Chisolm and Rozeller Frierson Chisolm. Mrs. Strickland was predeceased by her father, John Chisolm. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 42 years, Steven W. Strickland, Sr.; her children, Steven Strickland, Jr. (Melanie) and Tammy Marie Gaddis; her mother, Rozeller Frierson Chisolm; five grandchildren, Autumn Gaddis, Taylor Gaddis, Summer Strickland, Xander Strickland, and Wyatt Strickland; four sisters, Louise Meetze, Jeanette Ferguson(Jerry), Angelia Chisolm, and Debbie White; two brothers, John Chisolm (Debbie) and Patrick Chisolm (Rena); a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
