DONALD E. COX Don Cox, surrounded by loving family lost his battle with cancer April 10, 2015. He was 84 years old, born June 1, 1930 to Julia and Francis Cox in Chico. CA. He was a watchmaker for 30 years. Don served in the Navy in the Pacific during the Korean War. After retirement Don enjoyed going to Las Vegas and playing gin rummy. A life long fan of the Giants and the 49ers. He played fantasy football most of his adult life and enjoyed the camaraderie of his friends. Active well into his 80s, be was a member of Canyon Oaks Country Club, Chico Racquet Club, and a member of the Elks Lodge for 60 years. He is survived by his wife, Betty, his brother Gerry and his wife, three sons from a previous marriage to Lois Cox- Steven, Jeffery, and Rodney, 4 granddaugh-ters, as well as a stepdaughter, and 1 step granddaughter. He was preceded in death by son Stanley. He will be remembered by his sense of humor, thoughtfulness and ready smile. A private family service will be held in his honor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society or Enloe Hospice.
