Donna M. Sweeney

Donna M. Sweeney, 70, of Fowler St. Hagaman, NY passed away Sunday evening at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Amsterdam, NY on July 24, 1939 a daughter of Rita Mae Benjamin Bant and a step-daughter of Joseph Bozek. She was a lifelong resident of Amsterdam and was a 1957 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Donna was employed at the former Grants Department Store in Amsterdam and was a homemaker. Mrs. Sweeney enjoyed the outdoors and camping and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was of the Roman Catholic Faith and was a communicant of St. Stephen?s Church in Hagaman, NY. She married William R. Sweeney on April 24, 1964. In addition to her husband survivors include one son, William Robert Sweeney Jr. of Clearwater Florida. One daughter Kelly Farnum and her husband Thomas of Glenville, NY. Two grandchildren, Nathan Farnum and Ryan Farnum of Glenville, NY. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was pre deceased by a brother David Bant. It was Mrs. Sweeney?s request that there be no funeral service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
