Dorothy Runner Price, age 88, of Venice, Florida, passed away on September 30, 2010. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 28, 1922. She was the V.P. and Personnel Director at Toledo Home Federal Savings & Loan in Toledo, Ohio for 34 years and retired in 1977 and moved to Venice in 1983. She was a former member & officer of Zonta International; member of United Methodist Women at Grace United Methodist Church; water safety instructor in Ohio and Michigan; volunteer at Venice Regional Medical Center and hurricane disaster teams. She is survived by her husband, Roxie Wilson Price of Venice; sister, Edith Cook of Venice; two nieces, Darlene Boddy of Cottonwood, Arizona, Edye Shipps of Venice; three nephews, Malcom Cook, Eric Cook both of Venice and Todd Cook of Brandon, Fl.; step-daughter, Renee Price of Dayton, Ohio; two step-sons, Steve Price of Venice, Scott Price of Tennessee; step-granddaughter, Naomi Price of Venice and a step-grandson, Joshua (Deanna) Price of Sarasota, Fl. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Grace United Methodist Church in Venice with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice, Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
