Earl Arnold Tomlinson of Winter Haven passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 from respiratory failure. He was 83. A native of Castalia Pioneer Community near Ona, Hardee County Florida, born April 6, 1930 to James Madison Tomlinson and Myrta Stephens Tomlinson, Earl moved to this area in 1962. He was a Manager and farmer in citrus, cattle and vegetables, receiving his B.S degree in Agriculture from the University of Florida. He had a long career in agricultural finance and citrus production. Earl also served in the US Army Central Intelligence Corps, and was a Baptist. Earl was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years: Dorothy "Dot" Webb Tomlinson, his parents, and his brothers: Ray and David Tomlinson. He is survived by his son: E.Allan Tomlinson; sister: Freida Bowen his brother Orin Tomlinson; his grandsons: Brett, Lee, and Stephen Tomlinson; and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday from 10 to 11AM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM from the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Rolling Hills Cemetery, Winter Haven. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Meals on Wheels. Condolences to the family can be sent to: www.oakridgefuneralcare.com
