Mr. Edward Franklin Lyons, age 86, a resident of Auburndale passed away Monday, October 19, 2020 at Winter Haven Hospital. Mr. Lyons was born July 10, 1934 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Oris Franklin and Esther Fay (Blackstone) Lyons. He was a resident of Auburndale since 1960 coming from Kentucky. He attended the First Baptist Church of Auburndale, Berea Baptist Church of Auburndale and retired from the City of Auburndale where worked many years in the Parks & Recreation Department. Ed was also the owner/operator of Mr. Ed’s Shoe’s of Auburndale in the 60’s and 70’s. He volunteered for Auburndale Little League as a Coach and the Auburndale Community Center. He enjoyed construction, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife – Suedell; son – Christopher; 2 brothers – Joe & Virgil. Ed is survived by his loving family, brother – Tony Lyons and his wife Bonita of Auburndale, FL.; grandson – Brody Lyons of Lakeland, FL., daughter-in-law – Peggy Lyons of Lakeland, FL.; aunt – Daisy Dotson of Perry, GA. and many nieces, nephews & cousins. There are no services scheduled for Mr. Lyons.
