Elizabeth Ann Hodel, 69, of Gloversville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born November 3, 1946 in Gloversville, she was a daughter of the late William and June Walters Muddle. Elizabeth worked at Nathan Littauer Hospital as a housekeeper for over 20 years. She enjoyed playing cards and would always look forward to her Monday card group. Elizabeth's grandchildren where the light of her life, she was very proud of each of grandchild and loved them dearly. Survivors include her daughters LB Adams (David) of Charleston, SC, Tammy Plumadore (Thomas) of Gloversville and April Hanford (Robert Jr.) of Gloversville; brothers William Muddle, Jr. of Fort Plain and John Muddle of Amsterdam; sisters Marion Yost of Gloversville and Carolyn Sunderland of Brooksville, FL; grandchildren Pamala Cutler, Thomas Plumadore, Jr., Timothy Plumadore, Theodore Hodel, Fredrick Hanford, Charles Hanford, Christopher Hanford and Gabriella Adams and great grandchildren Ursula Rose Cutler and Gabryel Plumadore. Elizabeth is also survived by several niece and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Frederick Hodel and sister Joan Frasier. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will take place on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 1-3 P.M. & 5-8 P.M. at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A graveside committal service for Elizabeth will be held on Saturday, July 30 9 A.M. at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers memorial donations made be made in Elizabeth's memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or to the American Lung Association, 418 Broadway, 1st Floor Albany, NY 12207. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
