LONG, ELSIE BENNETT, 92, of Pinellas Park, died Saturday, January 21, 2017 at her home. Born in Augusta, Ga., Elsie came to Pinellas County in 1981 from Atlanta, GA. She was a homemaker and went to school to become an LPN. She served as an Activities Coordinator at a nursing home in Macon, GA. and also served as a Daycare Director at the local college. Elsie was married for 58 years to Lenwood T. Long who preceded her in death. Survivors include her two daughters, Brenda Katherine Jackson, Pinellas Park, Rachel Annell Brink, Tampa and daughter-in-law, Connie Culver Long, Spartanburg, SC. She has one son, John Michael Long, who has preceded her in death; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial will be held at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home located at 2201 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in St. Petersburg on Tuesday, January 24 at 6PM.
