Eugene "Paul" MacDonald

Eugene "Paul" MacDonald, Jr. entered into eternal life with our Lord peacefully from home on April 27, 2017. He was born in Manchester, NH in 1942, the oldest son of Emillianne Dewar MacDonald and Eugene Paul MacDonald, Sr. Paul lived in many places as a child including six years as a teenager in Japan as he followed his military family. He worked in Macy's in New York and then over 40 years in the telecommunications field for New York Telephone, AT&T, Lucent and AVAYA. Paul spent over 30 years as a systems engineer and designed multinational telephone systems for major corporations. He retired from AVAYA in 2009 and moved to Davenport, FL. Paul is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lynn Gray MacDonald, and their two loving sons Eugene Paul MacDonald III (Barbara) and Matthew Gray MacDonald (Alexandra), three adorable grandchildren Margaret Elizabeth MacDonald, Dylan Dunbar MacDonald, and Lucas Paul MacDonald. He is also survived by siblings Claudenne Capano, James MacDonald, Suzanne MacDonald, John MacDonald, Michelle MacDonald and eight nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 3:00-5:00PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Home, Haines City. A funeral Mass celebrating Paul's life will be held at 10:30 Monday morning at St. Ann Catholic Church, Haines City. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Paul's name.
