EVA "WEISS" MARIE BERGSTROM

EVA MARIE (WEISS) BERGSTROM of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away peacefully at Manor Care of Fair Oaks on May 25, 2014. Eva was born in Berlin, Germany, on April 16, 1929 to Kurt and Carole Weiss. After WWII she was a model for international fashion houses in Germany, France and Italy. She married her loving husband Raymond F. Bergstrom in April 1958 and moved to her adopted country, the USA. Here she gave support to Army wives for 20 years. Eva enjoyed travel, fashion, dance, music and horses. Throughout her life she always took time to make young children smile and laugh. Eva will be greatly missed and remembered by all her friends who showed support with their time, well wishes and prayers. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Raymond; sister-in-law Doris Schimpf; nieces Janet (Schimpf) Miller and Jeannie Schimpf; nephews Judge Alan Bergstrom, Keith Bergstrom, Larry Bergstrom, Jerry Schimpf and Jay Schimpf; 14 great-nieces and nephews and 10 great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation is Friday May 30, 2014, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Advent Funeral Services, 7211 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia. Services at Ft. Myer Chapel and interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
