Frances Elizabeth Clark
July 5th, 1922 - May 9th, 2014
Frances, 91, passed away May 9, 2014 at Gridley Health and Wellness. Born July 5, 1922 in San Bernadino, CA she was a resident of the Yuba Sutter area for over 70 years. Frances was a bookkeeper and a housewife. She was a devoted wife to the late Sherman Clark. Frances owned and operated with her husband, a service station on Percy Ave., in Yuba City in the 1950's, and in her free time, she spent a lot of time auto racing with her husband. She was co-founder of A-1 Body Shop & Towing in Yuba City. She loved to travel. Later in life she moved to Challenge, CA with Sherman as she loved the outdoor life and gardening. Before her husband's passing in 2005, she moved back to Yuba City to be closer to her family. Frances was also a member of the Women of the Moose in Yuba City, CA. Survivors include daughter, Kathy Cade; son, Ken Clark; grandsons, Tim Thomas, Greg Clark and Richard Clark; great grandchildren, Tiffani Thomas, Trevor Clark and Evan Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Clark. "Nan" will be greatly missed. Visitation will start at 1:00 pm, followed by services at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Burial will be private.
