Frederick Ward Dent, Jr. age 79, of North Port, Florida, passed away on October 24, 2008. He was born on August 3, 1929 in Buffalo, New York. He retired from the Aerospace Industry as a mechanical engineer and moved to North Port in 1997 from Tonawanda, New York. He was a member of the Elks, Masonic Lodge and Veteran’s Associations. He also served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and is the author of the book “We Can Fix U.S. Health Care”. He is survived by his wife, Rita Dent of North Port; a daughter, Laura Dent of Tonawanda, New York and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Linda Dent. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is handling the arrangements.
