McFall, Dr. Frederick G. Jr. 81, of St. Petersburg, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010. He was born June 8, 1928 in Tampa. After moving to Atlanta, he graduated from North Georgia Military Academy, Emory University Dental School, and the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He operated a successful Maxillofacial Oral Surgery practice for 40 plus years in St. Petersburg. He was a lifetime member of Sertoma serving as International President. He served on the Committee of 100, Board of Directors for Bankers Insurance Group and several other corporations. He was actively involved with many other civic and church organizations. He was an accomplished golfer and Atlanta Junior Champion. In addition, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and ran a successful quarter horse operation. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; children, Frederick G. McFall III and wife, Patricia, James W. McFall, Sr., Stephanie M. Young and husband, Mark; 6 grandchildren, Jay, Ginny Ray, Garrett and their mother Gwen, Pierce, Ginger, and Kenna; nieces, Jonell, Gina, and Debbie; nephews, Steven, Gaston, and Walter. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 11 AM at First United Methodist Church of St. Petersburg, 212-3rd St. N. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the First United Methodist Church of St. Petersburg. The family would like to thank Mary Boldt for her loving care.
