Garry Lee Plessinger was born June 11, 1936. He passed away on June 8th, 2021, to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife Sharon (Domenico) Plessinger who he married September 8th, 1962. Additionally, he is survived by his son Danny Plessinger and his 3 daughters: Cheri Robertson, Tricia Hesser and Rhonda Arensdorf. He was blessed by 13 Grandchildren: Jeff Plessinger, (Nathan, Nicholas, and Natalie Hesser), (Jeremy, Joshua, Jordan, Joey, and Brooklyn Arensdorf), (Jakob and Sydnee Plessinger), Wendy Spronk and Wesley Lovas. In addition, Garry was fortunate to be a Great Grandfather to Cheyenne Plessinger, Kinzley Arensdorf, Jackson Arensdorf, Hunter and Hailey Lovas, and future Great Grandchild, Spencer Hesser. Garry was a native of Colorado and graduated from West Highschool in 1955. Garry joined the Airforce and served in French Morocco North Africa8 from September 15, 1955, to June 14th,1963 at which time he was honorably discharged. After marrying his wife Sharon, Garry started his career with Safeway, in where he held the title of Asst. Store Manager until his retirement from the Company. Garry had many passions, interests, and hobbies. He loved camping with his family in Glenwood Springs and spending long days at the Hot Springs pool. He was an avid book reader and enjoyed audio books as well. He especially loved Harry Potter and anything Star Wars related. What made him especially happy was working in and around the house, from landscaping, wood working and remodeling to something as simple as hanging a beautiful picture. His favorite time of year was Spring and Summer because he loved the trees and flowers and always enjoyed the warm days. Above all Garry always looked forward to the holidays! He loved Christmas the most and would spend hours putting together his Christmas village so that all the family and neighbors could enjoy it. He and Sharon always went the extra mile to decorate for all the family to enjoy and bring the real meaning to the holidays. As for the other holidays Garry always had surprises or games to share with the family so that everyone had a great time. Garry was so passionate about the holidays that on Christmas Eve during a major blizzard he drove his VW bus from Boulder to Arvada when everyone else stayed at hotels just so he could be with his family on Christmas. As for VW’s, he loved them! He loved the VW bus which he had for many years and always liked the VW Beetles as well. Garry was loved by so many during his long life, but he is not alone in Heaven. He is now rejoined with his mother, Marie Lockhart, half-brothers Donny and Ronny Defore, cousin Noelene Blair, Grandmother Bessy Wolum, grandson’s Dylan, Easton, and Jackson Plessinger, and Young Defore. A wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather; you will always be loved and greatly missed. Always in our thoughts and in our hearts.
