George Sawyer
January 20th, 1959 - August 28th, 2018
George Mark Sawyer passed away August 28, 2018 with his wife and youngest brother by his side. He was born on January 20, 1959 to George and Donna Sawyer in Lowell Massachusetts. He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. He was a life long avid fisherman, George fished the deep seas off of costal New England and the beautiful lakes of Texas which he enjoyed fishing with his oldest grandson and close friend Phil. He was also a knife and gun enthusiast who enjoyed target shooting in the amazing Colorado mountains. He was best known for his large, kind, loving heart, and story telling. He was an amazing family man and wonderful father and grandfather. He dedicated his life to caring for the ones he loved right until the very end, he was our rock and loved us all immeasurably. His stories, love and jokester ways will live on through his only daughter and two grandsons. George is survived by his wife Madeline, younger brothers James and David Sawyer, daughter and son in law Donna and Steve Schroeder, two grandsons Nicholas and Rhys Schroeder, niece Nicole Sawyer, nephews Jason and Kevin Sawyer, nephew Jake Griffin his wife Anna and their two daughters Karina and Gabriella Griffin. Services and scattering of his ashes will be held on Plum Island in Massachusetts at an undetermined date, family and friends will be notified immediately when plans for service are set.
