Gerald Edward Greenberg

Gerald E Greenberg passed peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his wife and friends on Monday July 15th2024, 5 days short of his 78th birthday at his home in Palm Bay, Florida.

Jerry, or “Big Boy” as his friends called him, was a legendary chef and personality.

Jerry was very proud of his service in the Brown Water Navy during the Vietman War.

Jerry was renowned for his cooking skills throughout the Eastern Hemisphere, having command of kitchens stretching from the Islands, through Florida, and the Northeast. But mostly in the Catskill Mountains and Hudson Valley.

Jerry’s home, before moving to Florida, was in Jewett, NY (Hunter Mountain area) where he spent most of his career exciting guests with his extraordinary talents.

Jerry was predeceased by his parents Bernard and Natlie Greenberg of Evanston Ill.

He is survived: by his wife Niranara (Annie) Greenberg, his daughter, Jessica Greenberg, her husband, Justin Landine of Utah. and his sister, Judy Greenberg, of Miami, FL., Annie's daughter, Kasamolthorn Aimrach , and her son, Karnpon Chokthanapat of Thailand.

A Service was held at the Wat Phawanadhammaram, Melbourne FL. this past Saturday, July 20, 2024.

A gathering of his family and friends is being planned for a later date in the Hunter, NY.
