Jerry Millard, formerly of Edgerton, WI passed away on January 15, 2024 at Alden Estates in Jefferson, WI. Jerry was the eldest child and was born on September 2, 1940, to Clinton and Marie Millard. They farmed on the shores of Crystal Lake near Lodi, WI. He graduated from Lodi High School and enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17. After serving in Germany and Morocco, he returned to the states and began a long career in construction. He worked throughout Wisconsin and the upper Midwest building silos for the Madison Silo Company. He worked on commercial construction jobs in North Dakota and Nevada, finally returning to Wisconsin as a self-employed carpenter. Jerry is survived by his son Kurt (Joan) Millard of Cross Plains, his grandsons, Zachary and Zeke Millard, his sisters, Judy Read and Jean Buchanan of Edgerton. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Gary Millard, and his son Todd Millard. Jerry was grateful for the care he received at the Madison VA, and especially the nurses and staff from Rainbow Hospice and Alden Estates. He will be missed by many, but especially by his close friends, Don Bush, Jeff Beery and Roy Troutman. Nitardy Funeral Home of Fort Atkinson is assisting the family. There will be no memorial service.

We Entrusted Gerald Millard's Care To
Nitardy Funeral Homes - Fort Atkinson
We have proudly served the Southern Wisconsin community for over 90 years, when Hilmar A. Nitardy opened his first funeral home in the area. In 1984, his son Russ knew it was time to offer professional, compassionate services to the Fort Atkinson community, and we constructed a new funeral home to address its needs. We feel so fortunate to be a part of the community, and have grown our family alongside the community for three generations....
